We meet at Sandyland Resort in Sunrise Beach, Texas for all events unless otherwise noted. Either meet on the dock or sail nearby till we get the group together. Visitors are welcome, you do not need a boat and you do not need to know how to sail. We always have room on our boats for guests. Just show up at the set time to join in the fun.
Wear deck shoes or shoes with non skid soles (not black please). Dress appropriately for the weather, a hat is good, and bring sun screen if it is a day event. Gloves are recommended if you want to do more than just ride.
Many events are potluck, we often BBQ on the water during the evening sails. Bring something you like to eat and drink. For more information call Sandyland at 325 388 4521.

October 19, LBJ Sailing Club monthly meeting at 3:00 p.m. followed by food, drink and story swapping

November 8, Vets Are Great, 1 long race, skipper's meeting at 11:00 a.m. and race starts at 12:00 noon
November 16, SPECIAL EVENT -- 1:00 p.m. monthly LBJ Sailing Club meeting and election of officers for 2004, followed by a Bar BQ and potluck. Bring whatever meat you want to grill and a dish to share. Horsehoes, bocci ball, washers and ring toss competitions will fill out the afternoon. We usually have 1 or 2 race series each month, and 1 or more fun sails. Our monthly meeting/party is at Sandyland, third Sunday at 3pm. Potluck food afterwards and we might even go sailing! Potential members and guests are welcome. This is where we plan our sailing trips to the British Virgin Islands, so if you are interested in a sailing vacation come to the meetings.
