I lost all the images from the vacation so far due to a memory card error.

crud.

I've had a second day in London. A day in Vienna, and a day in Budapest. I took some good photos. You'll just have to trust me on that.

We got into Gatwick and took the train to Victoria Station. Then we found our hotel - The Raddison Edwardian Pastoria. Sounds expensive, don't it? Well it was, and it is not worth it. It is sweltering in our room, and there's no AC.

The room itself is a bit like the B&Bs we stayed at in Italy - Except twice as expensive.

But it is in a really nice location. It's right behind the National Gallery on Trafalgar Square - between the National Gallery and Leicester Square. The neighborhood was bustling even at midnight, when we sat in the park and watched people walk by. We ate dinner in Chinatown, which was only two blocks from the hotel. We went to a place called Ikkyu. It's owned by Chinese but has Japanese chefs. They offer Chinese, Japanese, and Thai cuisine. I had some delicious Thai Chow Mein. It was the right amount of spicy. Maya ate a couple of sushi rolls. They were good too; though, they had a peculiar sweetness.

We decided to see if we could make it to the London Dungeon before it closed at 6:30. We hopped on the tube and managed to get there at 6:20, only to find that the guide book was wrong. It closed at six.

Since we where near the Thames anyway, we decided to follow the river to the London Eye ferris wheel.

It was a pleasant two mile walk. The temperature was very nice.

Here's a couple of the shots I took on our river walk:
The first is Maya.
And this one is me.

We made it to the London Eye and got on board. I took a few pictures. Here is one of my favorites:

this last picture is of Trafalgar Square, from the steps of St. Matthew on the Mew.
