Many sources were used in the creation of The Carrier Project. Some have provided specific information, others were used for confirmation or background. Most pages have a References and Sources section listing the materials used in the creation of that page.

So many sources were used, in fact, that they cannot all be listed on a single page. Accordingly, they have been listed on type-specific pages accessible by the menu below.

Several types of source material were used:

Print & Online Documents: This includes books, magazine articles, monographs, and text-based online publications (usually in PDF format).

Video: Both documentary and feature films.

Websites: Various types of websites, including official government webpages, websites operated by private organizations such as museums and veteran's groups, and personal sites.
