I am researching the GILES family who came from Maine down to Pennsylvania.

Working backwards from myself, I (John Patrick Giles - m. Susan Lynn Harris)

was born in Pottstown, PA on 10/6/1946. 

My father:

 J. Harold Giles (m. Mary Fegely McCaslin) was born in Williamsport, PA on 12/23/1909 and died 1/26/1963 in Pottstown, PA. 

His father:  William Samuel Giles (m. Margaret Lauretta Ramsey) born in Duboistown, PA on 6/22/1876 and died in Parkerford, PA on 2/26/1946.

His father: Daniel Howard Giles (m. Phoebe Jane Bevier)born in Old Town, ME on 10/12/1841 and died in Williamsport, PA on 6/11/1913. 

His father: Samuel Giles II (m. Mary Elizabeth Anne Kimball), was born and died in Maine. 

His father: Daniel Giles (m. Mary Roberts - I think) 

I believe Daniel's father was named Samuel. I keep hearing stories in my family about 3 brothers (one of which presumably is my direct line) that arrived on these shores somewhere together but nobody knows when, where, or what their names were. I have Vinton's "The Giles Memorial" but can't find any connections there as yet. I am trying to work my way back to England and start working on the family from that end but first I have to get far enough back to find out who landed in North America and on what ship in what port. Always willing to share anything I have in my file. I use Family Tree Maker 8.0, Generations 8.0 and The Master Genealogist so I could send you my file in any form you like if we can find a common link so if anything looks familiar to anyone, I'd appreciate an email.
