Stan,
Nice page. I especially enjoyed the way you did the title. It really gets attention.
It appears that your family and my husband's are connected. My husband's
g-grandfather was Claiborne Young GILES. Through a lot of help found online I have traced his family back as far as Henry Edward GILES b. 24 Apr 1750 in VA. He married Jeane
CLEATON, daughter of William and Jane Poole CLEATON.
Henry and Jeane had 7 children. My husband is descended through their oldest
son, William C. GILES, Sr. who moved to and died in Williamson Co., TN.
Henry Edward GILES died in 1818 (we do have a will made by him) and is buried in Mecklenburg Co. VA. My question is: do you know anything about Henry Edward GILES, his parents, etc. One of Henry's children was named Jane
Perrin GILES so I know we have the right family. The names seem to come up again and again. Anything that you can share would be appreciated. I have been working on this family for 20 yrs. and have just started having some
real luck due to the online posted info.
- Thank you in advance,
