Stan,
Thank you so much for your prompt reply. Are you familiar with the book "My VA Kin" by Baldridge? It states on pg.62 "Perrin Giles, born ca. 1715, Henrico Co., VA. Died year 1788 Amherst Co., VA. Perrin's mother may have been a "Perrin". At an early date a number of Perrin families were living in Henrico Co. It will be noted that Elizabeth Perrin was a witness to the will of William Giles, wife Bethany, year 1692, Henrico Co., VA. Perrin married Lucy ____."(Earlier in the book it states William and Bethany Knowles Giles parents of Perrin) As of today, another researcher that I correspond with tells me that he has found out that Lucy's last name was Trent. I have sent him another email to find out where he located this info.
I am looking forward to staying in touch with you. I believe that the answer to our questions is in helping each other.
Have a great day!

Laura,
I would love to put any information you are willing to share on the web page. The early problems finding information on the Giles (Must have been beamed down from the Enterprise) Clan I decided to put up my page and invite people to allow me to post information on their branch of the family.
I suspect there is a relationship between the families because of the number of James, William's and Perils that repeat in your lineage. Do you have a birth date on the Perrin Giles? I suspect my Perrin (died in TN. Gibson County, and buried at Shiloh) was married twice. I know the spouse at his death but don't know first wife. It has been suggested it was a Lucy by other researchers but I have no way of making the connection. Unfortunately the Federal Census didn't list dependents prior to 1800's. That would make life easier.
I will put your information on my page today....

Enjoyed your web page......very informative. My GG/GF was  Solomon Rhodes Giles b. 1808 in Nelson Co., VA and m. Mary  Elizabeth Fogus. He was the s/o James Giles, Amherst Co., VA;  grandson of William and g/grandson of Perrin and Lucy Giles.
James Giles was married twice...(1) Jemimah Coffey and (2) Nancy
Saunders. James and Nancy Saunders Giles were the parents of
Solomon Rhodes Giles. Would love to meet additional
"cousins".......have descendent information and willing to
