Dear Son and Daughter

This is to inform you that I was in Trenton yesterday and received your letter Dated the 7th of July and glad to hear From you all and to hear that you are Coming back a gain.  I felt bad to hear That you had bin sick.   This leaves us in Common health.   Hoping when these lines Come to hand they may find you all well.
I saw Franky and all the children this Morning  I saw Mary some time since And they were well at that time.
James has left me for good and never Expects to live with me a gain. I want you to move and come to this County Quick as you can.  I can't live by my Self.  Womicks land is still for sail. He himself is living near the line Of Kentucky and I can't see him Times is favorable here at this time.
Everything is rising right up. Tobacco Is selling well.  We sold ours at $7 and 75 cents.  I shall look for you the last of October agreeable to your Letter. Don't fail in coming. There is a Grate Revival of Religion here at this Time . Every boddy appears to be religious Sam Abbott is under conviction and Jim Abbott.. Crops of corn is indifferent Wheat Crops was verry short this year. The Tobacco crops is on the short Order.. There is but little sickness here. I herd from Carroll county two or three weeks ago The people was well at that time.

 My Son I want you to right hear as soon as you get this letter and Let me know what you will do  Wheather you will come settle yourself with me for I cannot live by myself. There is  land plentifull for us both Come and try once more. There is nothing To fear with us now Your Mother Is to come and live with us.  James has left For good. It is supposed that he will Marry this fall.  He is now going to scolle At Crick (?) Campground.
William Womack is married to Addaline ??inglsley and is living at the old place.
He wants to hear from you Badley As I was writing Mary come over and is Well.  Mary has a fine son. I have Written all that is worth while and I conclude my letter.  I remain [Your] Father until Deth.
