Jacob Autry

Jacob resided in Wilkes County, Georgia until he was "grown" and may have well attended the "old Academy", in Washington, Georgia.  He met Elizabeth Cook, whose father was James Cook, who settled on Beaver Dam Creek in 1773.  They moved to Spartanburg County and were married in either December 1804 or January 1805.
In 1809 James Cook (Likely Elizabeth's father) sold them a small farm for the amount of $80.00 (The small amount provides for the family tie). They again moved in 1815 to Hardeman County, TN..
In the fall of 1818 they moved to Franklin County, Alabama where he bought a farm of 160 acres from Lemuel Cook on May 6, 1819. He then sold the land to Jeremiah Bob's October 1819.
