Welcome to my garden

My garden is located in Denton County, Texas, walking distance from Lake Lewisville.  I enjoy genealogy, reading, shopping (for gardening stuff mostly), stargazing and spending time with my 2 girls when I'm not gardening.  I've also discovered Stained Glass.  I have photos in my Webshots page.  I hope you enjoy your tour of my garden.  

I'm a member of the North Texas Gardening Club (formerly known as the Texas Garden Fairies).

Here's a movie that was taken with my old Olympus C-4000Zoom on the Bolivar-Galveston Ferry.  There is no sound & it was taken using the optical zoom.  How many dolphins can you count?

genealogy

My sister & I have been researching our family history for over 10 years.  Our paternal grandfather's family has been in Texas since 1837.   Some of the names in our family tree are: Grissom, Weaver, Boothe, Green, Luther, Havard, West, Joplin, Whitman, Briant, Laswell, Martin, McVey. 

We (my sis & I) recently took advantage of a trip I took to Indianapolis, IN to visit her in July '03.  We were able to spend some time researching our lines at the Indiana State Library.  We also visited the areas in Indiana that our Luther ancestors had lived in.  If you'd like the photos of that we took at Cole Cemetery in Clay County, let me know.
