RIGID Has A New Web Site
| November 17, 1997 - This just in: RIGID, a New Orleans based band, now has a new Un-Official Web Site! RIGID hopes to set new standards in self-produced Web Sites by independent bands. In addition to the usual band info, the web site features online streaming audio of RIGID's music. Most web sites only provide wav files that take forever to download and must be played off-line while the streaming audio on this site allows the music to be heard almost instantly. HOWLIN' WOLF Show Is A Success
| October 24, 1997 - Last night's show at the Howlin' Wolf in New Orleans was killer. Three other bands joined RIGID: Caroline's Spine, Native Tongue as well as local mates Flux. At 1:00 a.m. RIGID took the stage and played a hearty hour and a half set consisting mostly of music from their upcoming release, ending the show with Plunger, from their Three Faces recording. RIGID Performs With Quiet Riot
| October 19,1997 - Party All Night? Maybe not, but RIGID did play a show with 80's Metal Mega-Rockers Quiet Riot. Everyone came out to Jimmy's Music Club in New Orleans to "feel the noize". Before a modest sized crowd of aging hey-brah's RIGID surprisingly gained respect as they pumped out their peculiar form of Rock. Too bad Quiet Riot was too busy riding around the French Quarter in their limo and didn't get to see RIGID's top notch set. This was RIGID's second performance with an 80's metal band, the first being Queensryche in August at the UNO Lakefront Arena in New Orleans, Louisiana. |
