And finally... on this week's episode of "The Lazy Home-Owner Carpenter"... you will see that we have two... ( count 'em) two... overhead skylights.

I wasn't too sure about these when I ordered them. They were about $80 each and at the time, seemed like a rather frivolous expenditure for a garage. Well, let me tell ya... Carrie and I love these skylights. They change the entire nature of the space... and I can almost justify the extra cost to my frugal nature by claiming that they'll probably save me money over the long run. They should reduce the need for electrical lighting during the day. But the bottom line is: Skylights are just cool! Natural light is unsurpassed, and these provide it, without eating up precious wall space with windows.
