Don't even think about asking me why this one is painted blue and red... but it is. This is a recently founded cover... from the East Jordan Foundry. www.ejiw.com The quality of the casting is not quite up to par and the metal is poor quality... but it does sport the usual concentric rings of a general "city services" cover. More and more these "generic" covers are taking over... bought "off the shelf" from catalogs by city engineers and civil contarctors. Typically they're devoid of any real personality and therefore I don't normally take pictures of them... but this one was painted!

What sort of person paints a manhole cover?

Then again... what sort of person takes photographs of man hole covers?
