This is another of those shots I can hardly remember taking.

One of those where I had my cognitive mind on hold... and therefore wasn't paying much attention. As a result, I was "seeing" more clearly than I knew. I took a beautifully composed shot... of a seemingly unworthy subject... and for some reason, I think it works. I like the deep rojo of the soil... juxtaposed against the muted yellow of the range grass. I like the transparency of the green glass... the placement of the bottle... but most of all... I love the arrangement, the muted colours and scratchy textures of the pebbles just below and to the right of the bottle. It is my goal in life... to achieve permanent residency in this heightened sense of detached creativity.

Oddly enough, this detached yet heightened state seems to be a product of "not thinking." Just like flying is a product of "not falling" and being truthful is a product of keeping your word. It has more to do with ‘how’ I see... rather than ‘what’ I see. For me… "seeing" is a product of not thinking too much.

For me... "not thinking" requires great quantities of self discipline.
