Delta_Flight_1819_07.07.02_801

I took this from the window of Delta flight 1819 from Atlanta to Austin.

Back in "The Blue Room" days, I seemed to spend a lot of time flying back and forth from Atlanta to Austin. Visiting my friends at the Briar Patch.

This was the trip I took my friend, Miss Lyndee, with me.

Returning, we took off from Hartsfield just at sunset. She was so tired... absolutely worn out from a holiday weekend in Georgia consisting of entirely too much life, light, love and laughter... not to mention endless days of water sking... SeaDoo rides... heaping plates of my barbeque, enchiladas and enough grits, biscuits and collard greens to choke a goat! We had hardly taken off before she pushed the arm rest up... settled into my chest and passed out. I popped on my headset and took forty seven exposures of this sunset with Lyndee's mind cradled in my lap... The last two cuts from Third Day's "Time" CD were pounding into my brain...

"I'll be found at the place where the gravity leaves the ground...
And I won't be coming down!"
