Ken Combs Realtors: Broker-owner and Director of Marketing
of a full service real estate company that has served the Corpus Christi market
for over 26 years. Ken Combs Realtors provides seller or buyer representation in
residential and commercial transactions, appraisals, feasibility studies,
property tax consulting, and property management. In addition to the sales
career, my marketing functions include media access and the creation, design and
construction of materials for promotion of the firm and the client's properties.
Responsibilities the implementation of business and personnel growth management
plan, and the development of custom seminar designs and presentations with
in-depth comprehensive creative curriculum for the real estate community. Topics
have included personal assistants, marketing, property management law, sexual
harassment, contracts and Federal Tax Law. Clients include: San Antonio Board of
Realtors, Texas Association of Realtors, Rockport Board of Realtors, Key Allegro
Realtors, First American Title Company, Coldwell Banker Pacesetter Steel
Realtors, Stewart Title, Corpus Christi Association of Realtors, Century 21 and
Garron Dean Company Realtors.
Del Mar College: Adjunct Instructor of Business teaching over 250 semester hours
since 1978; courses include Management, Marketing, Business Law, Introduction to
Business, Small Business Development, Human Resources and all Real Estate
courses. Instructional methods include team assignments, role-play, focus
groups, use of the Internet to access news articles and conduct research, and
community experts as guest speakers. Other techniques include the use of Excel,
PowerPoint (both self developed and textbook supplied), instructional videos,
current events and global business. Student information audits are completed at
the beginning of each semester and this allows the customization of educational
approaches to address the various learning modalities of each individual
student.
University of the Incarnate Word: Instructor of Business at the Del Mar College
campus teaching Consumer Behavior, Advertising, and Marketing to undergraduate
students.
Texas Association of Realtors: Senior Faculty for the Realtor Institute teaching
the GRI courses to Realtors throughout the state of Texas. Developed curriculum
and trained Realtors on technical and legal issues as well as business,
planning, property management, and marketing concepts. Designed educational
course materials including competencies, syllabi, tests, and course instructor
guidelines.
Corpus Christi State University: Adjunct Professor of Finance teaching
undergraduate and graduate students in the Business Department.
Corpus Christi Independent School District: G.E.D. teacher at the Adult Learning
Center.
