Vernon Franklin Purcell

Frank was born in northwestern Brown County, 31/2 miles southeast of Burkett on the Frank Lawson Brown Place.
Both Frank and Lois were born at their grandparents homes.
They also spent their first married night in Lois's grandparents house.


Lois Lenora Tate

Lois was born at Frank and Savanna Tate place.


Johnston Thomas (Jake) Sheppard

Jake served in the US Army. He was a Corporal in World War 11


Minnie Bell Cavanaugh

Minnie B. McGee was a loving and considerate woman. She worked hard
raising a garden and preserving food for her family. She kept house
for herself and her bachelor son, Charlie, who lived with her until
she was 99 years old. When she became unable to take care of herself
and Charlie they moved to her daughter Lillie's home for a while
because the son was seriously ill. When it became evident Lillie was
unable to take care of them they moved to her daughter Melrose's home
to live. Minnie became ill and was found to have colon cancer. She had
a colotomy operation at 100 years of age and was out of recovery when
she had a heart attack and passed away.


Robert Lee McGee

Robert McGee served in the Army Air Force during World War II in
Africa. He returned home from service married and Went to work in the
oilfield where he worked until his death. Robert McGee died from bone
cancer.


Charlie Jackson McGee

Charles Jackson McGee was drafted for the military service for World
war II and when he went to enter, he was told since his father was
not able to work and his older brother was already in service to go
back home and make his parents a living, which he took to heart. He
never married and when asked why, he would always say they would not
take me into the service because of my parent's needs and nothing has
changed. Therefore they still
need me. He worked the home place as long as he was physical able,
even after his father passed away. He always farmed the home place
taking nothing in return for his labor. His only source of income was
from places he leased and only worked after the home place was
completed. After his father passed away he leased the home place from
his mother, letting her run her cattle on it until she sold all of
them. Charlie died of
Multimaloma a type of Leukemia in a rest home in Bangs, Brown County,
Texas.


Hillery Evertt Brown

Hillary Brown worked for Merchant's Motor line until he was killed in
a truck accident in Houston, Texas.


Earl Howard Brown
