Frio County, Frio City
Going off of a website that claimed to know about existing retired courthouses, after hitting up the courthouse in Pearsall we headed out towards Frio City. We later found out we were mistaken thinking we would actually come across a town of some sorts. As we were driving along Hill pointed out a Historical Marker, but we thought nothing of it and drove on past still looking for a city. We drove a little further and crossed the county line…obviously going too far. I made us turn around and that's when we stopped at the cemetery. Graves date back from 1881 and up to 2009; pretty cool for a ghost town.
As we drove away I looked off in a distance and saw this building in the brush. Come to find out it's the old courthouse which now resides on private property.
