Designed and constructed a homemade six inch dobsonian reflector telescope

Photographed four low latitude auroral displays as far south as 31.4N.

Awarded the Honorary Messier Certificate ( #2201 since 1964) from the Astronomical League for independently observing/documenting the entire Messier deep space catalogue (110 objects).

Awarded the Sunspotters Certificate ( #93 since 1992) from the Astronomical League.
