Most of our packages
are shipped by USPS Priority w/Delivery Confirmation.
Our
shipments are entered and printed online. All packages that have
had an online label printed and then dropped off at the post
office do not get scanned until they reach the target zip code.
It doesn't work like a tracking #. It's only delivery
confirmation. The only time a delivery
confirmation # will show that it has entered the mail system is
when it is paid and labeled over the post office counter or when
it is picked up by a carrier on route, or if there is a problem
with routing, etc. Otherwise, it will only show the printing of
the label and the delivery.
Here's
what will be shown after we have processed the order, the label
has been printed
and the package has been shipped:
This message will not change until the package reaches your local
post office.
You WILL NOT see a
message that states "The shipper has now shipped the
package".
After the package makes it to your local post office, you may see
a message similar to this:
If you see a similar message, your package should be out for
delivery to you on that day.
Upon delivery, the new message will indicate successful delivery:
This
is as much as USPS delivery confirmation will indicate with
online label printing.
Please DO NOT email us and tell us that the top message says that we
"have not shipped
the package". That is NOT what it states. It's simply
telling you that a label has been printed.
The only way the message will show that the package "has
been shipped" is if it is picked
up by a carrier on route. We do not have our packages picked up.
They are dropped off at
the post office. According to USPS
guidelines, drop-offs do not get scanned, so the first
scan it will receive is at the target zip code. That is the first
time the system will know that
the package "has shipped".
If you have received a delivery confirmation #, your order has
been filled, packaged, weighed,
labeled and shipped. If you feel that you are seeing the top message too long, please
contact
your local post to see if they may be holding your package for
pickup. If a postal employee
looks up your delivery confirmation # and tells you that it
appears that we "have not shipped
the package"(common), they are unfamiliar with the online
delivery confirmation system.
The delivery confirmation will only show what we have stated
here. Please do not ask us
why it does not show that we've shipped the package or ask us
where the package is.
Once a the label has been printed and the package has been
dropped off, only USPS knows
where the package is. You can contact them at www.usps.com.
