Richard Dickerson

	Richard started playing for money with his first band in the 8th grade, doing local school dances. The band was called "Rikki Tikki Tavi". Ha-Ha! He went on playing guitar and singing with many bands over the years, sharing the stage with "Deep Purple"(Richard & guitarist Tommy Bolin were friends), "Robin Trower" and "Earl Slick", just to name a few. He has been blessed over the years to play with some of the best in the business and would like to go on record as saying that includes Chuck and Tater. "This new band is red hot!"
Some of the bands Richard has played with are "Alien", "Babe", "Dame", "Roulette", "Tightrope", "WesTex Rockers" & "France". Drummer Les Johns and Richard were good friends and played alot together. Les went on to play with "Gary Lewis and the Playboys". Gary actually recruited Richard to be a Playboy, but a prior engagement got in the way. Richard's mother, Margaret, always loved Gary coming to the house. LOL! He's also played with Freddy Fender.
	He also played guitar and sang in a prison ministry with keyboardist Vicki McKissack for 10 years. He sites that it was very rewarding. He enjoys hunting and riding his Harley. Richard also enjoys team roping. He's seen here competing in San Antonio.
